WELLNESS

What's Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a form of healing that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions — in the quest for optimal health and wellness. According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health — the primary goal of holistic medicine practice — by gaining proper balance in life.
Holistic medicine practitioners believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health. A Naturopath will use all forms of health care, from conventional medication to alternative therapies, to bring about optimal health and wellness.
So when a person suffering from migraine headaches pays a visit to a Naturopath, instead of walking out solely with medications, the Naturopath will likely take a look at all the potential factors that may be causing the person’s headaches, such as other health problems, diet and sleep habits, stress and personal problems. The treatment plan may involve traditional or natural medicines to relieve symptoms, but also lifestyle modifications to help prevent the headaches from recurring.
We use a variety of treatment techniques to help our patients take responsibility for their own well-being and achieve optimal health. These may include:
- Patient education on lifestyle changes and self-care to promote wellness. This may include diet, exercise, stress reduction methods and more.
- Prescribed nutraceuticals including organic whole food supplements, glandular, herbs and bio-identical hormones.

Yoga Class

Hands in Harmony have a new yoga timetable to bring different styles of yoga under one roof to promote health and wellbeing to everybody.

We aim to make yoga accessible to as many people as possible, from those wishing to develop greater strength and fitness to those dealing with anxiety and stress. Our classes are for all regardless of experience with alternative postures offered to help individuals develop their practice. We provide a positive and relaxed environment to explore different styles of yoga to help you find the style most suited to you.

Wednesday 6:00pm-7:00pm

Moderate paced style of Yoga where sets of series of poses are performed. The class is slightly demanding because of the constant movement from one pose to the next with great attention to correct breathing and body alignment. In yoga terminology, this movement is called flow.

Crystal Singing Bowls

Everything in the universe, in its most basic form, is composed of energy and, as such, has a natural frequency vibration. Energy, light, atoms, molecules, even our planet are vibrating at specific frequencies and are thus producing sound.
This includes every living cell in our bodies as well as the energy centres of our bodies, known as Chakra centres.
Like a musical instrument that emits sound, our chakras and our cells can either be in tune or out of tune. Every cell and chakra centre is naturally tuned to maintain wellbeing and health.

Physical, mental and environmental factors can interfere and cause these vibrations to go out of tune and into a state of imbalance. Much like a tuning fork causes resonance to adjacent objects,

Crystal Singing Bowls are tuned to the body’s Chakra centres.
When played, they help tune chakra centres to resonate to their proper, natural state and, in doing so, allow for the free flow of energy throughout the body, mind and spirit.
Each chakra centre represents an essential essence of consciousness.
The healing bowl notes are: C, D, E, F, G, A and B and they correspond to the seven major chakras. These seven major chakras relate to the seven notes on the musical scale.
