Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a technic that exfoliates, polishes and increases the lymphatic drainage of the skin. Your first session of microdermabrasion includes skin analysis, cleansing, microdermabrasion, mask, corrector serum, moisturiser, SPF 30+ protection and makeup application if required.

What does the vacuum do in Microdermabrasion?
Who should consider microdermabrasion?
The vacuum part of microdermabrasion has four basic roles: It gently pulls and lifts a small section of skin for microdermabrasion. It can spray a stream of crystals across the targeted skin area. It focally stimulates blood circulation and creates mild swelling in the skin. It collects the used crystals and dead skin in a receptacle for easy disposal.
Microdermabrasion is somewhat beneficial for people with dull skin, mild acne, acne discoloration, pick marks, and very superficial acne scars. Microdermabrasion may represent a good treatment option for patients with superficial skin problems and busy lifestyles who are looking for minimal benefits with virtually no side effects or downtime.
What should people expect?
How often can I have dermabrasion?
Generally, softer and smoother skin that feels fresher and more rejuvenated is the expected outcome after microdermabrasion.Mild pinkness of the skin is the desired outcome and usually resolves within minutes to hours after microdermabrasion. In addition, mild exfoliation of skin may occur as well. Continuously apply moisturiser or ointment if exfoliation occurs. Patients may also experience mild sunburn-like sensation for a few days. Moreover, liberal application of sunscreen is recommended as photosensitivity may be increased after treatment
Microdermabrasion can be done once a week or up to every eight weeks depending on your skin's tolerance and desired effects. The best routine starts with a weekly treatment for three or four sessions, then move to a monthly maintenance regimen.Since human skin regenerates within a 30-day cycle, skin improvement with microdermabrasion is fading and needs to be repeated at regular intervals. For most people a treatment every fortnight looks to be the best to get a consistent result. Usually, a course of 6 to 12 sessions is recommended to reach a significant and more durable improvement.
